AI on a dating site: what do we use it for on JaTy?
Spam and attempted scams can undermine even the best idea for a dating site. That is why JaTy uses artificial-intelligence tools to support moderation and identify abuse. We want to create a space where more attention can go towards people who want to get to know each other.
Modern technology helps us develop the service, but contacting the administration matters just as much. You can report a worrying situation and ask for help. This is how we combine AI’s capabilities with the responsibility of the people running the site. Our terms provide the full description of moderation.
We do not promise an algorithm that will choose your perfect partner. The use of AI described here concerns moderation. You decide who to talk to and whether to continue a connection. Technology should support the place where you meet.
How can you appeal a moderation decision?
Write to [email protected]. Include your username or account email, describe the decision you disagree with and explain why. If context is missing, provide it as clearly as possible. Do not send your password or login codes. You do not need to be logged in to submit an appeal.
A person reviews the appeal: an authorised representative of WHIPO sp. z o.o., JaTy’s operator, or an authorised moderator. They can change the decision and lift an unjustified restriction. We communicate the outcome and its explanation by email. A review does not consist solely of asking AI to repeat its previous answer.
You can also contact us if you notice a moderation problem or do not understand a message you received. Describing the situation, when it happened and the account involved helps us identify the issue. You do not have to make it public on your profile to raise it with the operator.
Safer dating also starts with your boundaries
Moderation does not replace caution in a new connection. Do not send money to someone you met on a dating site or share login codes or identity documents. Watch out for pressure, urgent requests for financial help and attempts to move the conversation somewhere that makes reporting a problem harder. If something seems suspicious, you can stop the conversation and contact the administration.
If you are planning a first meeting, choose a public place and tell someone you trust about your plans. You do not have to accept a pace set by the other person. Being interested in someone does not remove your right to change your mind. Respect for boundaries matters more than an impressive profile.

Dating without remarketing or an advertising profile
Who you want to meet is part of your life. On JaTy, we do not use user data for remarketing or advertising profiling. We do not sell personal data. Choosing our site means choosing an independent place to meet people, run by a small Polish company.
You can create an account by email. You do not need Facebook or have to connect your dating profile to your social media life. You choose how to introduce yourself to other people. A good description can say a lot about you without revealing details you would rather keep to yourself.
